Who notifies building control about solar electrical work?
Short answer
Adding a circuit for solar is notifiable electrical work in England and Wales. An installer registered with a competent person scheme self-certifies; otherwise building control must be involved before work starts. MCS requires the quote to say who is responsible and the notification to be done before handover.
