Are there government-backed 0% loans for solar panels and batteries?
Short answer
Yes. The Warm Homes Loan Scheme subsidises lenders to cut interest on loans for solar and batteries, sometimes to 0%, with a consumer launch phase from September 2026. It covers the whole UK, owner-occupiers and private landlords, loans up to £15,000 each for solar and batteries, and requires MCS-certified products and installers.
