Can I get paid for exporting electricity from my battery?
Short answer
Yes for solar-charged electricity. Ofgem says suppliers must pay SEG on battery export that can be guaranteed to come from your panels. If the battery also charges from the grid, suppliers need not pay but may. Tariffs such as Octopus Flux explicitly reward battery export, paying about 28-29p between 4pm and 7pm.
