Will Great British Energy pay for solar panels on my house?

Short answer

No. Great British Energy funds rooftop solar on schools, hospitals and other public buildings and, through the Local Power Plan published in February 2026, up to £1 billion for community and local energy. It has no household solar grant. Homes benefit indirectly through community projects and the separate Warm Homes schemes.
