Is there any solar grant or export payment in Northern Ireland?

Short answer

There is no general government solar grant in Northern Ireland, and the Smart Export Guarantee does not apply. NISEP funds limited low-income schemes: Toasty Homes is fully allocated for 2026/27, and a Priority PV scheme serves some Housing Executive tenants. Suppliers pay voluntary export rates, such as Power NI's 9.64p per kWh.
