Why does my SMA inverter keep showing 'Grid incident'?

Short answer

SMA 'Grid incident' events mean grid voltage or frequency went outside the permitted limits, so the inverter disconnected: 101-105 and 301 for high voltage, 202-206 for no grid or low voltage, 401-503 for frequency. It reconnects automatically. If it keeps happening on sunny days, ask your installer to measure the voltage and raise it with your network operator.
