Can I just plug in an EcoFlow STREAM kit in the UK?
Short answer
Since 27 August 2026 GB law allows plug-in solar only for solar-only devices up to 800 W AC that are not designed to store imported electricity. EcoFlow's 800 W STREAM Microinverter is that type of product; STREAM Ultra, Ultra X and AC Pro contain batteries and fall outside. EcoFlow UK still sells them for hardwiring. What we saw in the field
Jackery field install was hardwired via a fused spur by an electrician - consistent with battery kits sitting outside the plug-in route.
