Why is my Jackery SolarVault limited to 800 W on a plug but 2.5 kW when hardwired?
Short answer
Jackery's EU manual says SolarVault 3 Pro Max plugs into a wall socket; output up to 2,500 W is enabled in the Jackery app only after a licensed electrician confirms the circuit. Versions are rated 2,500, 1,500 and 800 W. Because it can charge from the grid, it falls outside GB's solar-only plug-in route.

What we saw in the field
[QA review 2026-09-24] P-6 AGREES: 800 W on a plug vs 2.5 kW hardwired matches the manual's electrician-confirmation route. P-5 AGREES (4 MPPT, 4,000 W DC), P-8 AGREES (IP65, -20 to 55 C). P-4 AGREES: UK page gives 2.52 kWh expandable to 15.12 kWh (the 45.36 kWh EU-listing figure does not apply to the UK). P-9 AGREES: UK page confirms a 10-year warranty and 15-year design life. P-7 CONTRADICTS for UK: 'charge up to 3.6 kW' vs UK page 2,500 W bidirectional; 3,680 W AC input is the EU specification. The electrician's FCU/13 A approach is outside Jackery's wording and should follow BS 7671 551.7.
