Solar · Advice
What are the red flags when buying solar panels?
Short answer
Be wary of cold callers, same-day discounts, pressure to sign in your home, claims that panels are 'free' or 'pay for themselves' on finance, savings based on old export prices, no site survey, no named products, large upfront deposits without insurance, and installers not on the MCS register. You have a 14-day cancellation right for doorstep sales.
