What happens to my Feed-in Tariff if I add a battery?
Short answer
You normally keep it. Ofgem says a battery installed after the generation meter leaves both generation and 50% deemed export payments unaffected, because the meter still records only your panels. You must tell your FIT supplier and send an updated wiring diagram. Metered-export households with grid-charging batteries can lose export payments.
