What should I do about snow or frost on my solar panels?
Short answer
Nothing, usually. Frost clears within hours of sunrise and snow slides off tilted glass as it warms. Winter output is small anyway, so the lost generation is minor. Never climb onto the roof or throw hot water on cold glass; use a soft snow rake from the ground only if the panels are safely reachable.
