Is bird (pigeon) protection required under solar panels?

Short answer

It is not mandatory, but MIS 3002 requires the MCS contractor to advise the customer on extra measures that improve durability and performance against flora and fauna, such as lichen, tree sap and nesting birds. Fit mesh or guards with clips that do not drill panel frames or damage the roof, and record the advice given.
