How are panels on different roof faces wired?
Short answer
Panels facing the same way are usually wired in series as one string, and each orientation goes to its own MPPT input on the inverter. Mixing orientations in one series string wastes output. Some inverters allow matched parallel strings on one input; others do not, so the datasheet and design decide.

[QA review 2026-09-24] C2-1 AGREES. | Earlier notes: Agrees: customer 2 had south roof, north roof and garage as separate strings into a Powerwall inverter - consistent with the UK Powerwall 3's three MPPT inputs.
