How long does a solar installation take, and is scaffolding needed?
Short answer
Roof installations normally use scaffolding with edge protection, usually put up a day or two before and removed after. Typical house systems take one to two days on site, longer with batteries, backup wiring or roofing work. Ground mounts need trenching instead, and plug-in kits can be fitted in hours.
