Is the Anker Solarbank a plug-in solar device under the new UK rules?
Short answer
No. Solarbank units contain batteries, and the UK Solarbank 4 E5000 Pro can charge from the grid at 2,500 W, so they are outside the GB plug-in route that covers only solar-only devices up to 800 W. Anker UK requires hardwiring by a registered electrician on a dedicated circuit. Checked 24 September 2026.
