Why does my GivEnergy portal say 'Battery Count' or 'Battery Capacity' error?
Short answer
These are checks the portal runs during setup. GivEnergy's knowledge-base article 71 (last updated 14 July 2022) says the battery packs may be switched off, the DC breaker off, or the battery communication cable connected wrongly. A separate 'Battery Voltage' check needs at least 180 W of solar to wake the battery. Your installer should fix the switches and cables.

What does this mean?
Owners can check the AC breaker and wait for a sunnier moment for the 180 W check. The battery on/off switches and DC breaker are installer items.
What should I do first?
Record the code and current battery state before changing settings. Follow only the owner-safe reset steps in the manual.
When do I need an engineer?
Use an installer or manufacturer support route if the fault returns, involves isolation or protection, or the manual does not give an owner reset.
What to do next
If the system is hot, smoking, damaged or making unusual electrical noises, move away from it and follow the manufacturer emergency guidance.
