My Fox ESS Evo shows a fault on its screen - what now?
Short answer
The Evo shows the fault name on its touchscreen; a red light means fault mode. Fox's Evo manual (V1.0.0) says grid faults such as 'Grid Lost Fault' clear on their own when the supply is normal again. Most hardware faults say disconnect solar, grid and battery, then reconnect. That involves DC switching, so it is your installer's job.

What does this mean?
'Eps Over Load' means too much is plugged into the backup supply. Turn off kettles, ovens, showers and immersion heaters. 'Bat Power Low' just means the battery is flat. It clears when the battery recharges. The screen can also show BMS State codes, such as BS1 E03 (communication faults). These codes add together.
What should I do first?
Record the code and current battery state before changing settings. Follow only the owner-safe reset steps in the manual.
When do I need an engineer?
Use an installer or manufacturer support route if the fault returns, involves isolation or protection, or the manual does not give an owner reset.
What to do next
If the system is hot, smoking, damaged or making unusual electrical noises, move away from it and follow the manufacturer emergency guidance.
