My installer mentioned Tesla One alerts. Can I see Powerwall 3 error codes myself?
Short answer
Mostly no. Owners get plain-language alerts in the Tesla app and see one status light on the Powerwall. Tesla One is the installer app for commissioning. It shows alerts such as 'Grid Code Not Set' or 'Negative Solar / Load', graded Warning or Error. Tesla's setup guide was checked on 24 September 2026.

What does this mean?
Tesla One alert classes: Process, Success, Warning (installer should review) and Error (action required by the installer). Tesla's owner manual tells owners not to connect third-party diagnostic tools between Powerwall and the Gateway.
What should I do first?
Record the code and current battery state before changing settings. Follow only the owner-safe reset steps in the manual.
When do I need an engineer?
Use an installer or manufacturer support route if the fault returns, involves isolation or protection, or the manual does not give an owner reset.
What to do next
If the system is hot, smoking, damaged or making unusual electrical noises, move away from it and follow the manufacturer emergency guidance.
