My AlphaESS battery has yellow lights flashing - what does it mean?
Short answer
Yellow LEDs on a SMILE-G3 battery show a protection or error code as a binary pattern. Temperature protections clear by themselves when the battery warms or cools. Error 06 means the battery breaker is open; Error 09 or protection 9 (cell under-voltage) needs the installer. AlphaESS says stop discharging and call service. Checked 24 September 2026.

What does this mean?
LED codes read right to left as 1, 2, 4, 8, 16 Protection 3/4/11: high or low temperature - wait Protection 9 cell under-voltage: installer forces recovery (power button 5 times in 10 s)
